A pretty compact, half-evergreen shrub with small variegated yellow leaves, the margins of which colour purplish pink in autumn. Blooms from August until late October with small bell-shaped white fragrant flowers. Also suitable as terrace and balcony plant.

Abelia grandiflora is protected by European plant breeders' rights under number EU 6049.
