Prunus laurocerasus ‘Hibani’ is a broad, upright Prunus with dark green, glossy foliage. Its young shoots (twice a year) have an intense red/bronze colour. It keeps this colour for 2 to 3 weeks. In the last few years, Hibani has proven to be very winter-hardy and disease-tolerant. This Prunus can be perfectly used as hedge, but is also very suitable as solitary. Initially it has a broad, upright growth habit, but eventually Hibani will grow quite tall. It thrives in sun, partial shade and shade. It grows in any type of soil. Its height is 200 cm after 5 years.
