After several successful years, including wins for Semponium Destiny (2022) and Agapanthus BlackJack (2023) as Plant of the Year, Plantipp has ten entries ready for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this year. These entries are presented by Hayloft, T&M, Hillier and Kernock Park Plants.

Striking flowers

Clematis Guernsey Flute ('EviGsy153'PBR) from renowned Clematis breeder Raymond J. Evison stands out with large, star-shaped, pure white flowers up to approx. 14 cm in diameter and striking red stamens. Agastache Beelicious Pink ('Agapk'PBR) is widely praised as possibly the most impressive Agastache on the market. With large, pink flower spikes, a compact habit, abundant flowering and a long flowering period, it provides extra-long enjoyment.

The famous Trachelospermum asiaticum Star of Milano® ('TRSUZ01') immediately catches the eye with dark green and creamy white, glossy leaves. Star of Milano blooms profusely with pink, fragrant flowers for an extra-long flowering period from May to September. The new, compact, city-friendly Philadelphus Petite Perfume series has been welcomed with open arms. Philadelphus Petite Perfume White ('W1'PBR) blooms for six weeks during the summer with hundreds of sweet scented flowers attracting bees and butterflies from far and wide to the landscape.

Climate-proof top performers

Flowering strength and climate resistance are paramount - now more than ever. After the global success of the Delosperma Ocean Sunset, Sun Diamonds, Wheels of Wonder® and Jewel of Desert series, Koichiro Nishikawa is ready to bring the next game changing series to the market. The new Delosperma Desert Dancers Red ('FSDD2112'PBR) and Purple ('FSDD2117'PBR) stand out from the current range with their unique, intense dark red foliage that increases the visual appeal of the landscape even without flowers.

The impressive new Papaver orientale Red Rumble ('HG01'PBR) is loved for its reliable garden performance that keeps coming back year after year with its strong flower stems, large bright red flowers, and compact growth habit. Another top performer for the landscape is the beloved Sempervivum Chick Charms® Giants, now including the striking Chick Charms® Giants Gold Mine ('GGM2022'), which can finally be admired in person at the Chelsea Flower Show.

More new introductions for 2024 are Musa sikkimensis Ever Red ('Lou 1'PBR), an impressive ornamental for both indoor and outdoor use and Mahonia eurybracteata Meteor, a striking appearance with architectural leaf shape and young, deep red leaves that transform throughout the seasons.

Last but not least, the Mangave Mad about Mangave® series can welcome a new addition. Mangave Mad about Mangave® 'Praying Hands' PBR is ready to surprise with a completely new look and strikingly colourful leaves.
